At the beginning of 2008 we discovered in the town of Greiz in Vogtland, Germany, one of the earliest Art Deco buildings, and we decided to save it from final disrepair. The building plans of this four-family dwelling date from December 1910, in the first half of 1911 it was built (completion 28 of June 1911).
Inside and outside the building contains already all essential features of the Art Deco style, whose emergence is commonly dated to 1919 oder 1920, and prevailed only from the mid-twenties on.
